FREEPORT, Grand Bahama - The Grand Bahama Power Company (GBPC) announced today that it will host a Customer Information Evening on Monday September 26th. This is in addition to extending customer service hours into the evenings for the past week. The Customer Information Evening is planned for Monday September 26th, at the Christ the King Church Hall from 5-8pm. CEO and President of GBPC Sarah MacDonald stated, “This is a great opportunity for us to interact with our customers one-on-one and for them to ask questions and get answers from our staff, in a relaxed and informal setting.”

The event will take place in two parts, with the company conducting an open house where the public can speak individually with staff and ask questions on a variety of subjects including billing, energy conservation, how to do business with GBPC and more. In addition to this, members of the GBPC executive team will give a brief presentation on the company’s ongoing initiatives and then open up the floor to questions from the audience.

The Customer Informational Evening comes on the heels of the recent extended customer service hours, which began last week from September 14th to September 21st from 5pm to 7pm weeknights only. “The decision was made to extend the hours as a benefit to customers so that we could address the billing inquiries and concerns of individual customers, without them having to rush during their lunch hour,” Ms. MacDonald remarked.

The extended hours went well and customers who took advantage of the opportunity seemed pleased with their results. “The Customer Service Department hours will also be extended on the Monday night for those customers who want to discuss their bills,” said MacDonald. “This provides another opportunity for customers wanting more time to address their billing inquiries and we encourage them to take advantage of it.”

The company is looking forward to a successful event and to working with their customers to help them in any way. For more details about the event please call the 24 hour Customer Service line 352-8411 or visit the company’s website www.gb-power.com.
