At 7:04a.m. Unit 13 developed a boiler tube leak which forced the unit to be taken offline for repairs. The loss of this unit resulted in disruption of service to approximately 7,000 customers. Power was fully restored by 8:00a.m.
Based on the current load forecast the company is able to meet the peak demand and continue to provide service to all customers. Repairs to additional generation are expected to be completed in the next 48 hours.
The company continues to request the assistance of the public to conserve energy by:
- Only using necessary lights
- Restricting use of dryers, washing machines and irons
