LocationsThere are 5 sections, Transmission & Distribution Department, which is located at Cedar Street; the Generation facility which is located at Peel Street, and also consist of Safety and Environmental Departments; Administration and Accounts which are located at the Lucayan Building and Grand Bahama Port Authority Headquarters respectively.
Requirements
The academic requirement for employment varies based on the job classification. However, standard requirements are a high school diploma, a clean police certificate and proof of Bahamian citizenship.
PoliciesThere are 2 in-house unions: a line staff union, which makes up 75% of the work force; and a management union, which makes up 20% of the work force. Policies are driven by the negotiated labour agreements.
